RenRetail is a division of RenRe Insurance Underwriters Inc. (“RenRetail”). RenRetail is a web-enabled wholesaler agent of commercial property and casualty insurance products. We offer attractive coverages, competitive premiums, and outstanding service, billing options, and claims handling. Producers have access to experienced service center staff to assist with original applications, quotes, and in-force accounts.

Affiliated Insurers
RenRetail acts as a producing and underwriting wholesale agent for Stonington Insurance Company (“Stonington”) and Lantana Insurance Ltd. (“Lantana”). Stonington and Lantana are affiliates of RenRetail and indirect wholly-owned subsidiaries of RenaissanceRe.
Stonington is authorized to write on an admitted basis in the District of Columbia and 50 States.
Lantana is authorized to write only on a non-admitted basis in the District of Columbia and all States with the exceptions of Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Lantana is not admitted to do business in any state and does business only on an authorized surplus lines basis through properly licensed agents and brokers. Insurance policies issued by Lantana are not protected or guaranteed by state insurance guaranty associations or insolvency funds.
Stonington and Lantana are rated A by A.M. Best Company, an independent organization that rates insurers’ financial strength and ability to pay claims.

Management Team
Our management team members each have significant experience in the insurance and financial services industry.
William J. Ashley, Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Ashley serves as CEO of RenRetail. He is responsible for leading all operational and underwriting aspects of RenRetail.
Mr. Ashley joined the RenRe team in 2001 as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Ashley has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, including 12 years focusing on primary insurance. Mr. Ashley holds the CPCU designation and a B.S. in Industrial Technology from Illinois State University.
Richard B. Primerano, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Primerano serves as CFO of RenRetail. He is responsible for overseeing all accounting and finance operations activities for the company.
Mr. Primerano joined the RenRe team in 2003 as Senior Vice President of Operations and Chief Financial Officer for RenaissanceRe U.S. Mr. Primerano has more than 14 years experience in the insurance industry. Mr. Primerano is a CPA and has a B.A. from the University of Connecticut.
Rod Taylor, Managing Director
Mr. Taylor serves as Managing Director of RenRetail. He is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the product, as well as the marketing, underwriting, and operational aspects of RenRetail.
Mr. Taylor has worked in the insurance industry for 24 years beginning as an underwriter, and progressively moving through management and senior management roles in a number of areas. Before joining RenRe in 2008, he was responsible for several programs at Zurich Insurance Services, including Builders Risk.

RenRetail is licensed as a resident property casualty insurance agency in Iowa, and is licensed as a non-resident property casualty agency in the District of Columbia and all States with the exception of Rhode Island. RenRetail’s California agency license number is 0G26006.
